Sir Nigel Knowles is Global Co-Chief Executive Officer and Managing Partner of DLA Piper.He has been Managing Partner since 1996 and in that time has led DLA Piper's growth from a regional UK law firm to what is now the world's largest global business law firm. Globally, DLA Piper has a turnover in excess of £1bn with over 4,200 lawyers located in more than 30 countries.
Following a brief practice at the Criminal Bar, Adam's experience has been principally in the UK equity market with various positions held over the last 28 years at firms including Lazard Brothers, Hoare Govett, Deutsche Bank,and most recently Panmure Gordon. He has led over 300 fundraises for a wide cross section of UK plc's.
Dominic headed the Birmingham operations and was a main board member of Old Mutual Securities. Subsequently he was one of the founders of Arden Partners in 2002. Post the flotation of Arden he joined GIL Investments, the Private Equity vehicle of the late David Grove OBE before returning to Arden as Head of Corporate Broking until joining Zeus Capital in June 2013.
Nick How joins the firm as Corporate Finance Director. As an experienced corporate financier and broker, Nick provides expert advice on IPOs, fundraisings and M&A, as well as ongoing equity market-related matters and investor relations. Most recently a partner at Oriel Securities, he was Head of UK Corporate Finance at Kaupthing and previously worked at Dresdner Kleinwort and Hoare Govett.
Claire has 16 years experience of corporate finance including advising on acquisitions, disposals, buy outs and fund raising with a range of private equity, PLC and private clients across a range of sectors. She was a director in the Deloitte corporate finance advisory team and since 2011 as Corporate Relationships Director for Deloitte's UK advisory business.
Hugo is responsible for the firms top high net worth private clients, assisting the sales team in raising capital for early and later stage private companies. Hugo previously ran the angel-investor forum 'Angels & Equity' under the Truestone group (now EQ Investors) for three years, raising over £11m for startup and early stage businesses. Previous to that he was Associate Director (now advisor) at The London School of Business and Finance.
John has over 20 years experience working in corporate finance and advising AIM and Main Market companies. He has acted on numerous IPOs and AIM admissions, as well as takeovers, acquisitions and other corporate transactions. John previously worked at ZAI Corporate Finance, Seymour Pierce and the London Stock Exchange.
Before joining Zeus Capital as a Director of Corporate Finance, Dan was Group Company Secretary and Head of Corporate Finance (Manchester) at WH Ireland, an AIM quoted Corporate Broking and Private Wealth Management business. During his 7 years at WH Ireland, Dan specialised in all areas of corporate finance work, including AIM IPOs, fundraisings, and general M&A. Dan qualified as a solicitor with Christopher Bate Solicitors in 1999 and has worked with Clifford Chance, Stringer Saul (now Fasken Martineau) and, more recently Halliwells LLP as a senior corporate lawyer specialising in public company advisory.
Dominic joined Zeus Capital in September 2013 from Nomura Code Securities where he was head of sales. Prior to that he worked at Arden Partners, Piper Jaffray and Nomura International. He was head of smaller company broking at Greig Middleton and became head of sales at Old Mutual Securities. He started his city career as a healthcare analyst at Kleinwort Benson.
Alex has 16 years experience in equity markets and has worked for a number of brokers as a specialist salesman in the small and mid-cap sectors. He has advised on all aspects of listed company market related activity and has raised significant equity finance across a wide range of sectors.
Tom has been active in cleantech for 15 years. He graduated from Oxford and has a PhD in Materials Engineering from Berkeley. In 2001 joined Ceres Power, where he was key to developing the core fuel-cell technology. he moved into the City as a clean-tech equity specialist. Tom has considerable expertise sourcing and assessing opportunities in the cleantech sector.
Andy is an experienced Equity Analyst and Fund Manager. After gaining a postgraduate degree in Finance he joined a leading Pan European Long Short Equity Hedge Fund. After six years investing in large cap European equities Andy went on to manage a small and mid cap Global Growth Fund. He joined Zeus Capital in May 2013 as an Equity Analyst covering Support Services and Special Situations.
Gary is an experienced Healthcare analyst with over 12 years’ experience at Nomura Code and KBC Peel Hunt. Prior to working as an analyst he worked as a post-doctoral fellow at the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research. His academic training includes an MBA from the University of Durham Business School and a PhD in Immunology from the Faculty of Medicine at Monash University (Australia) where he also obtained a BSc (Hons) in Immunology and Biochemistry.
Mike is an experienced analyst, having worked at the likes of UBS Global Asset Management and Numis Securities, before becoming a founding Director in the Panmure Gordon Liverpool office. In this role, he was instrumental in attracting a number of key corporate clients to the firm. Mike was ranked 3rd and 2nd best stock picker in the Business & Consumer Services sector in 2011 and 2013 respectively as measured by Starmine.
John qualified as a solicitor in the London office of law firm Dewey & LeBoeuf where he specialised in M&A and Capital Markets before moving into corporate finance advice in 2010. He has advised on acquisitions, disposals, IPOs and secondary placings across a variety of jurisdictions and sectors including metals & mining, oil & gas, insurance and industrials.
Kinga joined Zeus in 2014 as an Executive in the Private Equity and Private Company Team. Prior to joining Zeus, Kinga was at Deloitte in the Corporate Finance Department, where she worked on a variety of M&A transactions advising trade and private equity clients. Kinga is a member of Charted Institute for Securities & Investment.
Benjamin has 18 years of investment banking experience across Equity Capital Markets (ECM) and M&A focussed on European growth companies. He has been involved in many of the technology IPOs in the London market over the last decade. Previously Managing Director of Jefferies ECM, preceded by 13 years at UBS and 3 years at Deloitte (ACA)
